Ole Miss & Lane Kiffin are hosting a SEC commit this weekend who could help keep the tradition going at a premium position

Ouachita Parish (La.) defensive lineman Dylan Berymon has been committed to the Texas Longhorns since June. But, he's still listening to other coaching staffs. Primarily the Ole Miss Rebels. Berymon is set to be in Oxford, Miss., this weekend when the Lane Kiffin's squad takes on the LSU Tigers.

Berymon was at Ole Miss two weeks ago when Ole Miss defeated Arkansas in a thriller, 41-35. Now, he returns again to see the Rebels take on his home state Tigers.

The four-star prospect is ranked as the No. 96 overall prospect in the country, 13th-ranked defensive lineman, and the No. 4 overall senior recruit in the state of Louisiana. Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner has made a name for himself on the recruiting trail and would love nothing more than to steal a blue chip from Steve Sarkisian.

Dylan Berymon doesn't talk a lot, but he told Jordan Scruggs why he picked Texas back in June.

"I felt like it was home," Berymon said. "I like the culture and that everybody is buying into Texas football. Shoot when I first stepped down here, getting off the plane and going to the hotel.

"The people. The community around (here), I love it," Berymon said. "Man coach Baker, you just have to meet coach Baker. He's a real person, that's my dawg for real."

He even told Scruggs in detail how he committed to the Texas staff and what he was doing.

"Shoot I was just happy. If y'all haven't seen it yet, I did it different. We had karaoke and I was just sitting at the table thinking about it. I wasn't gonna do it, but I was just sitting at the table thinking like 'if I do this today, there's bookoo people up in here'. So I was going to do a little dance. I'm in a youth frat group called Theta Mu, we're Omegas. So I did a choppa style dance and then after that I said I'm gonna play BigXthaPlug to Texas and I just did it like that."

Dylan Berymon will also most likely be watching LSU closely Saturday.

“I love LSU, I grew up wanting to be a Tiger, that was my dream school. When I started getting recruited by other bigger schools in better cities, I fell in love with going [and] exploring other cities and states. I feel like LSU is a home school for me and I want to get out of Louisiana. It’s nothing LSU did to me or nothing I love LSU, it’s just me being in Louisiana, I wanna get out.”

Joyner had four draft picks from last year's squad – including first-round pick Walter Nolen and third-round pick Princely Umanmielen. This year, the group is young but shows a ton of promise. And it's a mostly homegrown group. Former blue chips Kam Franklin, William Echoles, Zxavian Harris, and Jam Brown are all from the state of Mississippi.

Berymon might not be from the Magnolia State, but Joyner, Lane Kiffin, Pete Golding, and the rest of the Ole Miss staff are certainly hoping his future home is Mississippi.
