Ole Miss Makes Big Football Announcement on Monday

The Ole Miss football program has been completely revitalized over the last five seasons under the leadership of head coach Lane Kiffin.

Before Kiffin took over, the team endured a four-year postseason drought. However, the team has qualified for five straight bowl games and won three since Kiffin accepted the job before the 2020 college football season.

Ole Miss has also become a launching point for many NFL careers, as the Rebels had eight players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Another 12 signed as undrafted free agents, so 20 total players from last year's team are currently on NFL rosters.

On Monday, the program made the big announcement that their 2025 season tickets had sold out. This is the eighth time that season tickets have sold out in the modern era of Rebels football.

The Rebels will be a completely new-look team in 2025, as three-year starting quarterback Jaxson Dart is now with the New York Giants in the NFL. Sophomore Austin Simmons, who has 282 career passing yards and two touchdowns, is expected to take his place.

Star wide receiver Tre Harris and cornerback Trey Amos were both drafted, and the entire starting defensive line from last year's team moved on to the NFL this offseason as well.

All eyes will be on Princewill Umanmielen and Suntarine Perkins to wreak havoc for the Rebels' defense. Five-star freshman wide receiver Caleb Cunningham should contribute right away as a pass-catcher.

Ole Miss will play a total of eight games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi this season. They will open up the 2025 campaign at home against Georgia State on August 30, then they will have a four-game home stand from September 13 to October 11.
