If the Tennessee Vols are going to return to the College Football Playoff in 2025, they'll need several of their young wide receivers to have breakout seasons.
One of those young wide receivers that will have a big opportunity for Tennessee this fall is redshirt freshman Braylon Staley.
The former four-star recruit caught just three passes for 21 yards last season, but he's expected to be a starter for the Vols in 2025.
And 247Sports thinks he's poised for a breakout season.
247Sports noted that one source told them that Staley has been one of Tennessee's best offensive players this offseason.
From 247Sports: Tennessee's top three receivers from last year are gone, and Braylon Staley is part of a group now set to be bigger parts of the Vols' passing game along with others such as Chris Brazzell and another big-time breakout candidate in 2024 top-40 recruit Mike Matthews....Also, one source went as far as saying that Staley has been one of Tennessee's best players on offense this offseason. The 6-foot, 190-pound Staley, a 2024 top-80 recruit, had three catches as a freshman for the Vols last year.

Staley's talent is undeniable (as seen in the clip above). And the experience he gained by playing against Ohio State in the College Football Playoff last season is invaluable for his development (Staley played a season-high 51 snaps in the Vols' loss to the Buckeyes).
Staley should shine as a pass-catcher this fall now that he's getting an opportunity to be a go-to option in Tennessee's offense.
