The Oregon Ducks entered the 2025 college football season with hopes of securing a second straight Big Ten title and first national championship in program history.

Led by head coach Dan Lanning, the Ducks advanced to 10-1 after a 42-27 Week 13 win over the USC Trojans. Quarterback Dante Moore had a solid game, completing 22 of 30 passes for 257 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Despite the win, though, Oregon fell in ESPN's Football Power Index. The FPI is a computer model "that measures team’s true strength on net points scale; expected point margin vs average opponent on neutral field.”

Ahead of Week 13, the Ducks were ranked as the No. 3 team in the country. After defeating USC, though, Oregon fell one spot and now sits at No. 4 in ESPN's FPI.

In order from No. 1 to No. 3, they're ranked behind the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Indiana Hoosiers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

It's an interesting development, considering that the Trojans, whom they defeated, also dropped one spot, now sitting at No. 11. Oregon also won by 15 points, after opening the game as 8.5-point favorites according to ESPN BET.

The Ducks have just one more regular-season game against the 8-3 Washington Huskies. They're looking to stay hot, riding a five-game winning streak.

ESPN's FPI gives Oregon a 97% chance of making the College Football Playoff and a 4.8% chance of winning the Big Ten.
