The Oregon Ducks looked poise to bring back most of their coaching staff heading into the coming year. Offensive coordinator Will Stein was named as a finalist by reporters for the vacant Ohio State offensive coordinator position before they promoted Brian Hartline for the position, and r unning backs coach Ra'Shaad Samples turned down a role with the Dallas Cowboys to stay with the Ducks.

It looks like they couldn't keep everyone, though. Co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Junior Adams was apparently also in the eyes of the Cowboys, and they've successfully lured him to the NFL for the first time. He will take the wide receiver's coach position with Dallas as he makes the jump.

Adams has had a long and successful college coaching career, recruiting and developing some of the top wide receivers in the country in recent years. At Eastern Washington, he recruited Cooper Kupp, working with him to mold him into a future NFL star. At Washington, Adams recruited Rome Odunze, helping develop him into a future fist-round draft pick.

Since 2022, Adams has been in Oregon, working hand-in-hand with Troy Franklin, Tez Johnson , Traeshon Holden, and Evan Stewart. Adams was arguably the best position coach on the Oregon coaching staff.

With an incoming crop of explosive wide receivers headlined by the nation's No. 1 wide receiver recruit Dakorien Moore , the Oregon Ducks are now in a tricky position early on in 2025. They will quickly need to figure out who will be taking the space on their coaching staff with a crucial job ahead of them to rebuild an Oregon receiver room that will be without Johnson and Holden from last season.

For Oregon to continue their rise not only in the Big Ten but as a national championship contender, getting this one right will be vitally important.
