The Oregon Ducks are the No. 1 team in the country for the second consecutive week, are undefeated at 8-0, and are positively rolling coming off a 38-9 dominant victory over Illinois.

This week, the Ducks will flock to Ann Arbor, Michigan to play in the Big House for the first time as members of the Big Ten Conference. They'll do so with a little help from a new jersey combination — Generation O: Warp Speed.

In a promo video that features former Ducks Dennis Dixon and Jonathan Stewart, the Oregon Ducks have unveiled a new white jersey combination with silver accents, highlighted by green numbering on the jersey. It's a modern take on a throwback jersey that we saw the Ducks use in the early 2000s. Dixon and Stewart both wore the jerseys in their time at Oregon.

This jersey release is particularly timely. In 2007, Oregon traveled to the Big House with Dixon at quarterback and Stewart at running back, beating a Chad Henne-led Michigan squad handily to a final score of 39-7.

Dixon and Stewart were each electric on the ground, with Dixon going for 76 rushing yards and a touchdown, and Stewart rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries (7.4 ypc).

Oregon clearly wants to recreate that magic, harkening back to a big win before traveling to Michigan this weekend.

"Warp Speed, you know, being able to take a lot of those same stories from the Fly Era jersey, but be able to apply it a new way and with some fun callbacks. People remember the famous 2007 Oregon vs Michigan game where Oregon goes to the Big House with Dennis Dixon and beats beats Michigan. We want to do a callback of that," Quinn Van Horne, senior designer said in a video posted by Oregon. "We also wanted to be able to honor the 2012 Oregon vs USC uniform that had Oregon go down and storm L.A., so that had a lot of meaning with the beetle number fill within it, and to be able to balance that out with the jersey."

Oregon's trip to Michigan marks another opportunity for the Ducks to continue to establish themselves as the best team in the country, and as a new powerhouse in the Big Ten Conference. As they've done all year, this is about announcing their presence in a new era of college football.
