This isn't your normal FBS vs FCS matchup.
Oregon is good enough to win the FBS national title. Montana State is good enough to win the FCS national title.
Both are explosive, both are replacing amazing passers with new guys who need to prove they can play up to the gig, and unlike most FBS vs FCS games, both teams believe they can win.
It might be a reach for the Bobcats, but they'll bring the offense and will keep pressing before dealing with a showdown against South Dakota State.
Oregon has a funky date against Oklahoma State next week before starting the Big Ten season at Northwestern.
Oregon vs Montana State How To Watch

Game Time: 4:00 PM ET
TV: BTN
Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR
The Montana State offense lost star quarterback Tommy Mellott - who's trying to figure out how to be a wide receiver with the Las Vegas Raiders - and top running back Scottre Humphrey left for New Mexico.
However, there's still plenty of talent to keep things going.
Adam Jones ran for over 1,100 yards, Taco Dowler should be one of the better receivers in the FCS, and the plan is to continue to run, even though it won't average 301 yards per game again without Mellott.
Meanwhile, Oregon has a whole lot of work to do to get the offensive starters up to speed. It not only has to replace a ton of NFL wide receiver talent, but Dillon Gabriel is in a - let's just say - interesting situation with the Cleveland Browns, and ...
Oregon is just fine.
The transfers coming in are phenomenal, a slew of terrific true freshmen should make plenty of noise right away, and the defensive side is full of stars who can get into the backfield.
Yes, Montana State will eventually have one of the best running games in the FCS, but the Oregon linebacking corps will be a dominant force. Throw in the addition of All-America safety Dillon Thieneman (Purdue), a loaded group of cornerbacks, and ...
Is Dante Moore ready to do this?
Oregon went from Justin Herbert, to Tyler Shough, to Anthony Brown, to Bo Nix, to Dillon Gabriel. There's a chance four of the last five Duck quarterbacks will start in the NFL this year, and Moore is supposed to be the next star up.
Montana State will get a few points on the board, and Moore won't be perfect, but Oregon will go on a scoring binge midway through the first half to put this away without any real drama.
