You know that whole bull muffins thing about how some fans don't care if their team wins only one game all year, as long as it's against the rival? Yeah, in this case, it's probably true.
Oregon State is having a tough time. It got a few nice transfers, but it lost in the overall exchange, and it's been roasted so far in an 0-3 start.
The second half of the season gets much, much easier - including the totally sad double-up playing of Washington State - but beat the Ducks, and all is right with the world.
On the flip side, Oregon is looking like one of the best teams in America again as it ripped through Montana State, Oklahoma State, and Northwestern by a combined score of 162 to 30.
After this comes a trip to Penn State, but it's Oregon State week. The focus is on beating the Beavers.

It wasn't like there was anything to worry about, but Oregon's 34-14 win over Northwestern last week didn't close well - especially for some in the investment world.
The last seven minutes were a little loose for the Ducks after a 34-0 lead, the big plays down the field weren't there like they were in the first two games, and Oregon State could use about as much help as it can get in this.
Oregon isn't controlling the clock, the pass rush is just okay, and the secondary hasn't seen a quarterback like Maalik Murphy. The Duke transfer has to keep taking his shots to push the passing game down the field, and ...
Oregon turned the ball over last week. It was Dante Moore's first thrown interception of the year, and ...
It was the first turnover all season, and the team made up for it by not getting hit with a single penalty. Outside of those final few minutes in Evanston, the team has been razor-sharp so far.
On the flip side, Murphy has had to press to try keeping the Beavers in games, and the picks are rolling.
The OSU offense has turned it over twice in each of the first three games, penalties were a huge issue against Fresno State, and there's no running game whatsoever for the Ducks to worry about. So ...
Oregon State had its share of wins in the series over the last several years, but in the previous two, it's been all Ducks by a combined score of 80-21.
Oregon won't let this get close. It'll come out with three efficient scoring drives on the way to a great start, and unlike last week against Northwestern, this time the team will run through the tape.
