Pablo Torre: Ben Affleck, Matt Damon were ‘flabbergasted’ by Bill Belichick, Jordon Hudson dynamic

The relationship dynamic between Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, caught a couple of A-list celebrities off guard when they worked with the lengendary coach. According to Pablo Torre, actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were “flabbergasted” at Hudson’s involvement when working with Belichick on a Dunkin’ Donuts ad during the Super Bowl.

Hudson was in the commercial despite being relatively unknown at the time. She also reportedly acted as an “agent” for Belichick and was “negotiating directly” with Damon and Affleck.

“It was the Super Bowl and it was a commercial in particular, the Dunkin’ Donuts commercial,” Torre said on NBC’s Pro Football Talk podcast. “It’s Ben Affleck, it’s Matt Damon, it’s a zillion celebrities. It’s Bill Belichick and, wait a minute, is that who I think it is? She was an internet creature entirely at this point. Jordon Hudson was somebody that you sort of knew about if you were pretty online, but in terms of her showing up it was like, ‘Wait a minute, is that an extra that they cast like a body double or was it the real McCoy?’

“…What I was told was that Jordon Hudson was acting as Bill Belichick’s agent for sort of the most high-profile marketing job imaginable in America. More than that, she was negotiating directly with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who were flabbergasted that this was who they had to go through to get to the guy that they revered for decades as the greatest coach of all-time. So that bit, just Jordon Hudson is kind of Bill Belichick’s ‘mom-ager’, a Kris Jenner figure at age 24 for this Super Bowl ad, we thought, ‘OK, let me do this, but then let me make sure I don’t give up the thread as this proceeds.'”

Damon and Affleck both grew up in the Boston area and, as Torre said, likely looked up to Belichick as a legendary figure for the city. Belichick is the former coach of the New England Patriots and won six Super Bowls with the franchise from 2000-23.

Belichick is now preparing to enter the college ranks in his first season as the head coach at North Carolina, where his relationship with the 24-year-old Hudson has become a hot topic of discusssion. Last month, TMZ even reported that concern was growing at UNC about Hudson’s influence.

Belichick has since addressed the situation, confirming that Hudson does not have a role with with university. However, he did acknowledge that she was involved in the handling of his “personal opportunities” such as the Dunkin’ Donuts ad or speaking appearances.

“It would be personal opportunities. Could be a speaking thing,” Belichick said. “It could be an appearance on this or talk about that, or somebody wants whatever it happens to be, an autograph or that type of thing. So, she’d kind of help organize that for me.”

Regardless, the relationship between Belichick and Hudson has certainly drummed up a lot of drama as he gets ready to enter Year 1 in Chapel Hill. We’ll see whether things quiet down for him once the season gets going as he attempts to rebuild a Tar Heels team that finished 6-7 in 2024.
