The Georgia Bulldogs have established themselves as one of the premier programs in college football since 2020. They won two national championships, claiming titles in 2021 and 2022.

In 2023, they aimed to become the first team to achieve a three-peat and entered the SEC Championship Game with an undefeated record. They lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide in that game, resulting in their elimination from the playoff race.

In 2024, Georgia sought to bounce back but suffered a loss in the College Football Playoff. Now, with the 2025 season less than two months away, Georgia hopes to reclaim its spot at the top of college football.

On "The Paul Finebaum Show," the SEC Network analyst shared his prediction for the Bulldogs' record this season.

"They're still as talented as probably almost every team in the country," Finebaum said. "They have the best coach. Overall, the best program, but I see two losses."

Finebaum stated that having two losses in a season isn't necessarily disastrous, but he questions the significance of those losses and their timing during the season. Last year, Georgia lost two regular-season games to the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ole Miss Rebels.

Despite these setbacks, the Bulldogs reached the SEC Championship Game, where they defeated the Texas Longhorns 22-19 in overtime. That victory earned them the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff.

However, Georgia was eliminated in the quarterfinals by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, losing 23-10. This was after star quarterback Carson Beck was injured in the first half of the game against Texas and subsequently had season-ending surgery.

Gunner Stockton stepped in to replace Beck and threw for 234 yards and one touchdown in the playoff game. He is expected to be the starting quarterback this season, as Beck announced he would be transferring to the Miami Hurricanes.

ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) predicts that Georgia will finish the upcoming season with a 10-2 record. The FPI ranks the Bulldogs as the No. 2 team in the nation, just behind Texas. Georgia will open its season against Marshall at 3:30 p.m. ET on Aug. 30.
