Barkley last year established himself as the best RB, and one of the best players the NFL has to offer. He became the ninth back in league history to rush for 2,000 yards.
He finished with 2,005 yards on 345 attempts, good for an average of 5.8 yards per carry. This success he showed in regular season sustained in the postseason. Over four playoff games he ran for a total of 499 yards, including a 205 yard game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Barkley was seen as a big add for the Eagles in the 2024 offseason but a risky one due to his injury history. It is easy to say now that gamble paid off.

Barkley's athleticism as a player was caught on full display in the clip that won him play of the year. But for Penn State fans this was nothing new. No, they never saw Barkley jump backwards over someone, no one has. They did however see his athletic potential long ago.
In his three years with the Nittany Lions he rushed for 1,000 yards in each season. In 2017 his successes at Penn State led him to finish fourth in Heisman voting, losing to eventual winner Baker Mayfield.
It is good to see the talent has not left Barkley since his time at Happy Valley. It would not be surprising by this time next year Barkley has another play of the year award to his name.
