Penn State football fans know that the Nastasi name has some meaning to it. The son of former Nittany Lions wide receiver Joe Nastasi wants to find and keep his spot on the team.

Donte Nastasi wants to be in the chatter for Penn State's wide receivers. He's a redshirt sophomore who has some depth to himself. Yet in a preseason look at Nastasi, Yahoo! Sports gave a little inside look into his play.

Nastasi, according to Nittany Lions Wire, is 5-foot-10-inches and weighs 163 pounds. What are the positives to getting a player like Nastasi to join your team?

Nittany Lions Wire reported that Nastasi's speed and versatility could see him carve out a niche on head coach James Franklin's team.

Coming out of high school, Nastasi was not ranked by any football recruiting services. Maybe they saw something in him that scared them away. There's no news about any immediate injuries to Nastasi. Still, it is worth keeping in mind while watching Penn State take to the field this season.

Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin can always use better hands in the wide receiving corps. Natasi must try and come up with a plan, which would involve him with a major victory by working his way into the starting lineup, Should this happen, then Nastasi can look for passes from Penn State quarterback Drew Allar.

Nastasi, if he makes any improvement from spring workouts, will see his name to continue rising on the roster chart. Look for him to be involved with numerous passing situations for Penn State.
