The Penn State football team needs to secure a top 2026 recruiting class quarterback. In the 2025 cycle, the Nittany Lions missed out on Matt Zollers who was an in-state priority. Zollers chose to take his talents to Missouri in April. While Bekkem Kritza will look to carry the load in 2025, Penn State needs to secure a commitment from one of the top prospects in 2026. Dia Bell and Faizon Brandon have shown interest in coming to Happy Valley, but over the weekend, a new quarterback prospect stepped foot on campus. Peyton Falzone took an unofficial visit to Penn State on Saturday.

Penn State football hosts rising Eastern PA 2026 QB prospect

Peyton Falzone is a rising quarterback prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. While he currently is unranked on the major recruiting sites, we’ve seen how quickly that can change. Take the most recent Penn State football commitment, Matt Henderson, who was unranked when he committed and was evaluated as a four-star prospect.

Falzone is from Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and attends Nazareth High School, where Jahan Dotson played his high school football. On3 has Kent State listed as his lone FBS offer. On Saturday, Peyton Falzone posted a thank you to James Franklin and his coaching staff on Twitter/X for hosting him on a visit. He alluded that he will be back this summer, so Falzone is a name to become familiar with.

The top 2026 Penn State QB targets

While missing out on the No. 1 QB in PA in 2025, Matt Zollers felt like a gut punch on the recruiting trail, Penn State needs to focus its attention on the 2026 cycle. Thankfully, the Nittany Lions appear to be off to a great start in building relationships with the top quarterbacks in the class.

Faizon Brandon is now listed as the No. 1 prospect and the No. 1 QB in the 2026 recruiting class according to 247Sports. Penn State made a scholarship offer official during his visit in March. While Penn State will be up against the top schools in the country, they have already established a “strong relationship” with Faizon Brandon.

The other quarterback to keep an eye on is Dia Bell, the son of NBA veteran Raja Bell who has had great things to say about Penn State. He told Steve Wilfong of On3 why he thinks he could be a good fit in Happy Valley.

“Penn State is an excellent program with an incredible history. Beaver Stadium is one of the best atmospheres in college football, and they have an incredible fan base! I am very excited about their new offense! I’ve been able to develop a great relationship with Coach Franklin, Coach Kotelnicki, and Coach O’Brien. I think that I’d be a good fit in what they do offensively because I can play on time and on schedule, but I can create when I need to as well.”

Dia Bell is the No. 2 ranked QB in the 2026 cycle and was back on campus over the weekend.
