Drew Allar and the Penn State Nittany Lions had a successful college football season in 2024, despite the semifinal loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Penn State closed out its 2024 campaign with a 13-3 record and a 8-1 mark in Big Ten play, including two victories in the College Football Playoff.

The Nittany Lions were led by quarterback Drew Allar, who's served as Penn State's starting signal-caller for the past two years.

Despite the NFL Draft rumors surrounding Allar after the end of the Nittany Lions' season, Penn State's quarterback will return to school for the 2025 season, per Dane Brugler at The Athletic

Allar finished the 2024 college football season with 24 touchdowns and 3,327 passing yards, completing 66.5% of his pass attempts.

In three years with the Nittany Lions, two of which he served as the starter, Allar has thrown for 53 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions while logging 6,302 yards with a 62.9 completion percentage.

Penn State will now head into the 2025 season with one of the most experienced and proven quarterbacks in the nation. Given his 6-foot-5 frame and elite production in his early years in the Big Ten, Allar will likely be seen as one of the best draft prospects in 2026.
