Penn State linebacker Curtis Jacobs will enter the 2024 NFL Draft following the Peach Bowl. Jacobs announced his decision on social media, becoming the third Penn State football player to declare for the draft.

"Thank you to my Penn State family, coaches, players and fans," Jacobs wrote in a social media post. "My time here has been very special and I will never forget it. I gave everything I had and I have made relationships that will last a lifetime. I am truly thankful for the opportunity and experience."

Jacobs, a fourth-year player at Penn State, won honorable mention All-Big Ten honors after making 47 tackles (eight for losses) and 2.5 sacks. Jacobs recovered two fumbles and recorded five quarterback hurries. Jacobs also was part of perhaps the most significant play of Penn State's season. He recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown against Ohio State, but the play was overturned by a holding penalty.

Before making his announcement, Jacobs discussed the importance of playing in the Peach Bowl. The Lions will face Ole Miss on Dec. 30 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

"These are the guys we struggled with early Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the winter and struggled with during the summer in those dog days," Jacobs said. "I just feel like for me personally it’s important to finish it out. I feel like we have a lot to play for, and this could be a chance for us to win every New Year’s 6 bowl. So I think we could really be a team that’s special."

Jacobs joined defensive end Chop Robinson and tight end Theo Johnson in declaring for the draft. Johnson and Jacobs will participate in the Peach Bowl.
