Travis Hunter's next video will undoubtedly go viral.

The No. 1 overall prospect from the 2022 high school football class is in the transfer portal after a season at Jackson State. He announced on Wednesday that he'll share his decision once he reaches 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Hunter surprised nearly everyone a season ago when he announced his commitment to Jackson State, joining forces with Deion Sanders. Hunter was used as both a cornerback and wide receiver this season, so it made sense for the dual-threat athlete to link up with an all-time great player who was utilized in a similar manner in the NFL. Still, the top high school prospect selecting an HBCU was an unprecedented move.

He entered the portal following Jackson State's Cricket Celebration Bowl overtime loss to NC Central, 41-34. Hunter came up with two fourth-quarter touchdown receptions, the second of which came on a 4th-and-10 as time expired to send the game to overtime.

In a viral video earlier this month, Hunter appeared to announce that he's following Sanders to Boulder after the Hall of Famer left Jackson State to take the head coaching job at Colorado, although nothing has been confirmed. Until it is, it's possible Hunter pulls another surprise like the one from last December.

He was widely expected to land at Florida State and could head that way after the Seminoles rebounded with an impressive 2022 season. They went 9-3 after four consecutive losing seasons.

Whichever way Hunter leans, the decision should come soon.

Hunter is up to 91.3k subscribers as of 4:31 p.m. EST on Dec. 21.  At this rate, a decision will come by the end of the day.
