No. 5 Texas has advanced to the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff after defeating No. 12 Clemson on Saturday.

Next up for the Longhorns is No. 4 Arizona State in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Jan. 1. The two will meet in Atlanta where Texas recently played on Dec. 7 for the SEC Championship game.

The Sun Devils received a first-round bye in the playoff after winning the Big 12 title. Running back Cam Skattebo has been exceptional for Arizona State this season and will present a tough challenge for Texas' defense. Skattebo has racked up 1,568 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns on the season thus far.

According to FanDuel odds, the Longhorns will enter the matchup as the 13.5-point favorite over the Sun Devils with an over/under set at 51.5. Texas entered its first-round matchup against Clemson as the 13.5-point favorite as well and ultimately ended up covering the spread with a 14-point win over the Tigers.

Many college football analysts believe Texas can reach the national title game this season. The Longhorns field arguably the top defense in the country and starting quarterback Quinn Ewers has seemingly found his groove. As long as Steve Sarkisian's squad can stay out of their own way with penalties/mistakes, Texas has the talent to beat any team in the country.

Kickoff for Texas vs. Arizona State is set for 12 p.m. CT on Jan. 1 and will be aired on ESPN.
