Possible No. 1 NFL Draft pick wishes he could redo these collegiate matchups

C.J. Stroud could very well be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and have a long and successful NFL career ahead of him. As one of the top college football players in the country with one of the blue-blood programs—Ohio State—one can't imagine that Stroud has many regrets about his life. Really, it seems as if all he has is a bright future to look forward to.

Still, Stroud's 0-2 record against Ohio State's arch-rival, the Michigan Wolverines, is seen as a blemish on his resume. And for as bright a future as Stroud could have, he did recently admit to wanting to "take back" the two games against Michigan.

Stroud was asked by CBS Sports (h/t 247Sports) which game he'd like to have back in his college career.

"For me of course, I would probably go back to that Team Up North game. Honestly, both of them, if you watch the tape I thought I did play well. Probably those two games," Stroud said, referencing the Wolverines without actually giving the University any credit in name.

OSU was 11-0 when it welcomed Michigan into Ohio Stadium this past season for a matchup of No. 2 (Ohio State) versus No. 3 (Michigan). Stroud completed 31-of-48 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns, but he did also throw two picks and Ohio State lost 45-23. The season before, Stroud completed 34-of-49 passes for 394 yards and two touchdowns but Ohio State lost, 42-27, at "The Big House."

"My numbers were pretty decent, but you’ve got to win," the quarterback explained. "That’s the biggest stat for a quarterback, win or loss. You can look at the film and tell the heart I have, I don’t quit."

Stroud threw for 3,688 yards and 41 touchdowns with just six interceptions for OSU in 2022. Many consider him the top quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft class.
