Predicting the next 5 Notre Dame commitments following the Fighting Irish landing Texas run stopper Tiki Hola
Kirby Lee-Imagn Images

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish staff has been riding a ton of recruiting momentum the last few weeks. Last week, the team received commitments from star 2026 Texas running back Javian Osborne, and underrated linebacker Jakobe Clapper. On Saturday, they received another from Bastrop (Texas) High School defensive tackle Tiki Hola, who they beat USC and SMU for.

Don’t look now, but the hot streak isn’t going to stop anytime soon. Here is my prediction for the next five commitments in the 2026 recruiting class for Notre Dame. Even more exciting times are ahead.

RB Jonaz Walton - Carrollton (Ga.) Central

With Notre Dame receiving a commitment from Osborne recently, the 2026 running back class is already in a tremendous spot. The Irish were in a pretty solid spot with Walton under Deland McCullough, but Ja’Juan Seider has taken that momentum and proceeded to knock this one out of the park. Walton announced that he will be announcing his commitment on May 14th, and Notre Dame is the team to beat.

TE Evan Jacobson - Waukee (Iowa) High School

As of today, Notre Dame is interested in bringing in two tight ends in the 2026 recruiting class. Jacobson is very high on their list. The 6-7, 220-pound athlete has some interesting parallels to former Irish standout Kyle Rudolph. His game was built to be a nice addition inline, with more upside to boot.

S Nick Reddish - Charlotte (N.C.) Independence

The Irish staff was in a great spot with Reddish prior to his junior season, but an injury set everything back a bit as he worked back to full health. Notre Dame is once again pushing hard for the 5-11, 185-pound safety. I’d be surprised if he didn’t end up in the class.

CB Joey O’Brien - Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College

O’Brien has been a priority target for Notre Dame for quite some time. At 6-4 and 190 pounds, the Pennsylvania native could potentially play cornerback, safety, or wide receiver at a high level. The length of the relationship between Mike Mickens are O’Brien could be a deciding factor in the end. They are battling Penn State most notably for his services.

WR Kohen Brown - Waxahachie (Texas) High School

Things are moving very quickly with Brown, who decommitted from USC just a couple of days after receiving his offer from the Fighting Irish. The speedster has a personal relationship with Notre Dame running back commit Javian Osborne, and that friendship should prove very beneficial in the end. The 5-11, 175-pound pass catcher has quickly become an important target for Mike Brown, and things could escalate quickly here.
