Predicting the next three commits for Notre Dame following the Fighting Irish landing elite pass catcher Kaydon Finley

It was questioned for a very long time, and understandably so, but Notre Dame was able to close on their top 2026 wide receiver target on the board. On Friday, they received a commitment from elite Aledo (Texas) High School pass catcher Kaydon Finley. He chose the Fighting Irish over finalists Texas and Texas A&M.

Finley is a Longhorn legacy, his father Jermichael having played for them before spending time with the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. Despite those family ties, Notre Dame was able to win out in the end. This was by far the biggest recruiting win for wide receivers coach Mike Brown since arriving in South Bend.

With this addition of Finley, there aren’t a ton of true targets left on the board for the Irish. Here are the next three commits I project to join the 2026 class. This could end up being the best group Notre Dame has assembled in some time.

WR Devin Fitzgerald - Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep

A day after closing on the most important wide receiver on the board, the Irish are able to add the son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald. Like his father, he has an outstanding frame, huge catch radius, and very strong hands. Head coach Marcus Freeman and the staff have made it a habit to get on DNA, and Fitzgerald is the latest example.

WR Brayden Robinson - Red Oak (Texas) High School

Could Notre Dame really go three for three in consecutive days for talented wide receivers? I certainly think so. Robinson has become a somewhat underrated target in the 2026 class for the Irish, but he is very important. The team needs to continue injecting big time speed and playmaking ability in space.

S Nick Reddish - Charlotte (N.C.) Independence

Reddish is scheduled to make his decision on July 11th, and things seem to be falling in place for the Fighting Irish. Their main competition is Virginia Tech, where his older brother plays. Mike Mickens has valued Reddish tremendously as a versatility safety that could play nickel for a long time, and that relationship should help them win out.
