Recruiting: Brother of Star LSU Player Gets an Offer from Alabama

2027 4-star QB Colton Nussmeier, brother of LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier , has several offers from top schools, including the Tide as reported by On3 Sports.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound passer is the nation’s No. 18 overall prospect in the 2027 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He is the number three quarterback on that list.

In a post on social media, he thanked Alabama coaches.

The Flower Mound Marcus (Texas) QB threw for nearly 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns in 10 games during his sophomore season.

LSU remains the favorite to sign the younger Nussmeier. “I think my relationship is pretty good with LSU mainly because of my brother (LSU starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier) and how many times I have been there to see him,” Colton Nussmeier told On3 in November. “I think I have a pretty good connection with the staff.”
