RECRUITING: Colorado Lands Two Big Weekend Commitments
© Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

No head coach wheels and deals with the transfer portal more than Deion Sanders . That continued over the weekend when Colorado added two more important pieces to their roster. The first came from Xavier Hill , who was an All-AAC Conference performer at Memphis.

Hill should become an immediate starter and helps solidify the tackle position opposite Jordan Seaton. He started his collegiate career at LSU, before transferring to Memphis and excelling during his two seasons with the Tigers.

Then yesterday came the news that wide receiver Sincere Brown had also joined the Buffaloes.

Brown had a slow start to his collegiate career at USF, but after a transfer to FCS Campbell, he shined during the 2024 season with 61 receptions for 1,028 yards and 12 touchdowns. With his 6-foot-5 frame, he became an immediate priority for several programs, including Texas A&M, UCLA, Cal, Michigan, Maryland, Kentucky, Arkansas and North Carolina.

The Buffaloes already had talent in the wide receiver room, but also lost a great deal of production and experience from last season with Travis Hunter , LaJohntay Wester , Jimmy Horn Jr. and Will Sheppard all currently preparing for the NFL Draft. Brown’s size adds a new dynamic to Colorado’s offense in 2025.

Pulling in both commitments a couple of days before the spring transfer portal window opens is a big victory for Colorado and Coach Sanders.
