The Tulane football program has reportedly found a new offensive coordinator.
Sources: Tulane is expected to hire Central Missouri head coach Jim Svoboda as the school’s new offensive coordinator, ESPN has learned. He’s a former OC and QB coach at UCLA, where he was a Broyles finalist in 2005. His Central Missouri team led DII in total offense in 2019.

The Green Wave are coming off of a 2-10 campaign where they averaged 27.6 points per game (75th of 130). Tulane hired Chip Long as their offensive coordinator in December but after one season, the 38-year-old was hired as Georgia Tech's offensive coordinator on Dec. 5, 2021.
Behind starting quarterback Michael Pratt, leading rusher Tyjae Spears and leading receiver Tyrick James, the Green Wave averaged 221.8 passing yards, 164.9 rushing yards and 386.7 total yards of offense during the 2021 season.
Svoboda served as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan from 1987 to 1993, compiling a 52-19 record. The 61-year-old then was the offensive coordinator at Northwest Missouri State University for 10 seasons -- a run in which the team won three NCAA Division II Football Championships -- and then moved on to become the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at UCLA.
Svoboda has been the head coach at Central Missouri since 2010 and has posted an 86-43 record. Svoboda helped the Mules go 11-3 in his first season at the helm and 11-2 in 2019, when they won a conference title.
