Per Pete Nakos of On3 , Pitt will host UAB transfer safety Adrian Maddox for a visit next week. He will also visit Arkansas earlier in the week on Dec. 16-17.
Maddox — a 6-foot-3 200-pound safety from Conyers, Ga. — recorded 44 total tackles in 11 games, along with two tackles for loss, two tackles for loss and two forced fumble as a junior this season with UAB. He also intercepted a pass and took it 99 yards for a touchdown against Rice.

This season, Maddox graded as the fourth-best safety in the American Athletic Conference, according to Pro Football Focus. He also had the third-best coverage grade in the conference.
On3 rates him as an 86 three-star transfer and the 124th-best corner on the market.
Prior to transferring to UAB, Maddox spent two seasons at Alabama State where he totaled 90 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. During his freshman campaign he intercepted two passes. As a sophomore, he defended seven passes.
In 2025, safety Javon McIntyre and Cruce Brookins are set to return and log big minutes for the Panthers. Beyond that, Jesse Anderson is expected to be the next safety up without McMillon and O’Brien.
Pitt has been active in the transfer portal so far and is set to host a handful players for visits.
Michigan State transfer wide out Jaron Glover is in town through Saturday, along with Charleston Southern receiver Noah Jennings, Charlotte kicker Stephen Rusnak and Western Carolina offensive lineman Derek Simmons will all be in town this weekend for a visit.
Miami (OH) transfer receiver Javon Tracy is scheduled to visit with the Panthers on Dec. 16.
