Report: UC Reveals Starting Quarterback
USA TODAY Sports

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are rolling with experience to lead them in the 2022 season. According to multiple reports, Ben Bryant is the Bearcats starting quarterback.

The Eastern Michigan transfer has two years of eligibility remaining and plenty of time to make his mark after beating out Evan Prater in fall camp. Bryant boasts a borderline NFL-caliber arm that should present a new feel to the Bearcats' offense.

He was more consistent than Prater over the past month and should be able to weather the storm in Fayetteville in the face of a tough Razorback crowd.

The redshirt senior threw for 3,121 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions at EMU last season, and now he'll get another year of starting experience with a fully stocked cabinet of weapons.

UC kicks off against Arkansas at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
