The UCF Knights are making a starting quarterback change on Saturday rolling with freshman EJ Colson over K.J. Jefferson.
The Zone's Brandon Kravitz reported the news as the Bearcats get ready to face a brand-new arm. Colson was a three-star recruit at 6-1, 200 pounds and 247Sport's Stephen Leonard noted he is the youngest UCF quarterback ever to start at 17 years old.
247Sports had him ranked 64th in the Class of 2025 before he joined the 2024 crew. It appears to be an outright benching for Jefferson.
