The Oregon Ducks had one of their best teams in the history of their football program in 2024-25.
They went undefeated in the regular season, which was particularly impressive considering it was their first year in the Big Ten Conference.
On offense, they were led by quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel had a few stops before going to Eugene, but once he was there, it was a seamless fit and looked like he had played in that offense his entire life.
Just one year after the Ducks enjoyed watching Bo Nix almost lead them to the College Football Playoff, they got Gabriel in there.
The Ducks took the No. 1 seed into the playoff, but lost to a familiar foe, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
In what was perhaps the shock of the NFL Draft, Gabriel was selected in the third round by the Cleveland Browns, considerably ahead of Shedeur Sanders.
Gabriel fielded questions after the rookie minicamp, but it wasn't anything he said that stood out.
Instead, a Browns reporter could be seen mouthing "I'm taller than him" after Gabriel walked off.
ASSAULT.

Despite standing at just 5-foot-11, Gabriel passed for a career-high 3,857 yards and 30 touchdown passes on his way to tying Case Keenum for the all-time mark for touchdown passes in Division I FBS history with 155.
Some college football purists may criticize Gabriel for taking six seasons to do what took Keenum just over four seasons to do. Keenum played in just three games in 2010 due to a torn ACL and was awarded a medical redshirt.
The quarterback room for the Browns will be interesting to monitor throughout the summer.
