Ricky White III has been selected as a Walter Camp 2nd Team Pre-Season All-American. White is college football’s leading returning receiver after finishing with a school-record 1,483 yards last fall. He tied the UNLV mark for receptions in a season with 88 and became the first Rebel ever to post five consecutive games with at least 100 receiving yards. In 2023, White was named First Team All-America by the Action Network, Second Team by the College Football Network and Third Team by Associated Press, becoming just the second UNLV WR to appear on an AP team in history and first since 1981.

White has been collecting All-American honors this off season. The school record holder also was named to the Phil Steele and Athlon All-American teams recently.
For the first time in a very long time, there’s a lot of anticipation overall for UNLV football this season. The team is looking to build on their 8 win season which was the most wins the program has had in three decades. Ricky White had a special season last year but what can he do as a encore for this upcoming season?
Repeating those same numbers would be very nice for White, but will he be needed to match that same production? The Rebels should be a deeper team this season. So it could be harder for White to match the same exact production. What we do know is that in order for the team to maximize their potential, they’re going to need their star to make plays in the clutch when they need him the most.
