Former Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers could end up being the biggest steal of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Many NFL Draft analysts expected Ewers to be selected in the third or fourth round. In a shocking turn of events, Ewers had to wait until the seventh round to hear his name called. A total of 13 other quarterbacks were drafted before him.

The Miami Dolphins took a chance on Ewers with the No. 231 overall pick. He is expected to compete alongside Zach Wilson for Miami's backup quarterback role behind starter Tua Tagovaiola.

The former Texas star appears to be off to a good start. On Day 3 of Dolphins training camp, Ewers was the star of the show with several big-time throws according to media in attendance.

Ewers threw for 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns in three seasons as the starter for the Longhorns. Although he suffered through a variety of injuries throughout his collegiate career, Ewers became Texas' all-time leader in yards and touchdown passes.

The Longhorns reached the College Football Playoff semifinal with Ewers under center each of the last two seasons. If he's able to stay healthy, Ewers could become a starting NFL quarterback in no time.
