With the NFL’s full schedule release set for May 14, early leaks have already sparked excitement around two former Colorado Buffaloes superstars possibly taking the international stage. Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and record-setting quarterback Shedeur Sanders are each rumored to be featured in separate NFL International Series games this fall.

Travis Hunter, who made history as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars, could suit up across the pond on October 19 in Week 7 when the Jaguars are rumored to face the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium.
Widely considered the most decorated player in college football history, Hunter captured eight major awards last season and finished his career at Colorado with nearly 2,000 receiving yards, 21 total touchdowns, and seven interceptions while playing both sides of the ball. His selection matched the highest in CU history, joining Bo Matthews (1974), and set a new standard as the highest-drafted cornerback ever.
Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders, who surprisingly slid to the fifth round of the draft where he was picked by the Cleveland Browns, may also get a London spotlight. The Browns are rumored to face the Minnesota Vikings on October 5 in Week 5 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Despite the fall in draft stock, Sanders left Boulder as the program’s most prolific passer, rewriting over 100 school records. Now in a quarterback room featuring Joe Flacco and rookie Dillon Gabriel, Sanders is turning heads in minicamp and hopes to carve out a role this season.
If these rumors hold true, the NFL’s international audience will get a close look at two of college football’s most electric stars from the Deion Sanders era in Colorado. Both are expected to make their own mark on Sundays in different paths.
