Ryan Day Offers Stance On Banning Flag-Planting After Ohio State, Michigan Brawl

A big brawl took place inside Ohio Stadium after Michigan beat Ohio State for the fourth season in a row this past Saturday.

Michigan came in as a heavy underdog but it didn't matter since the program won by three, 13-10, over its biggest rival. It was a shock to the college football world considering how much talent Ohio State has this year compared to Michigan.

After the final whistle blew, Michigan players tried to plant the Michigan flag at the 50-yard line inside Ohio Stadium, and Ohio State players weren't having it. They started pushing and shoving Michigan players before a brawl ensued.

It's led people to wonder if flag planting should be banned and when Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day was asked for his opinion on it, he said it was up to Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti.

“We certainly don’t want situations like that happening after the game,” Day said.

It was an ugly scene between the two schools, with some of the coaches just standing by and watching it happen.

The loss dropped the Buckeyes to 10-2 and knocked them out of the Big Ten Championship race. Instead of the Big Ten Championship Game being between the Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks, it'll be between the Ducks and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

The Buckeyes will still likely make the CFP due to how great they played during the regular season but that loss to the Wolverines will sting for a bit.

The final CFP rankings will come out after the conference title games take place this Saturday.
