Ryan Montgomery on Scott Satterfield's Locker Room Message After Miami (OH): 'It's All on Me'

UC football suffered a stunning 31-24 overtime loss to Miami (OH) this past weekend as 14-point favorites. Leading rusher Ryan Montgomery (20 carries, 104 yards) was adamant that head coach Scott Satterfield shouldered the blame as he addressed the team.

Montgomery discussed his message during UC's Tuesday press conference.

"The first thing he said when we got in the locker room was like, 'It's all on me, don't point your fingers at each other point fingers at me,'" Montgomery said. "That was really good to see, even though it wasn't just his fault. We didn't execute a lot in the red zone, especially. But for him to take that accountability and let us know that it was on his shoulders, and conference play, we have everything right in front of us."

Cincinnati will need that group mentality and short memories heading into the toughest home game in recent memory against No. 16 Oklahoma. A team that could be highly underrated in the polls as ESPN FPI's No. 2 rated team in the country.

The Sooners are averaging the third-most points in the country through three games (55.7 PPG).
