Two days ago, EA Sports announced that Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams is on the cover of EA College Football 26.

Williams shared how he reacted to being named a cover athlete in an interview with YouTuber, Bordeaux.

“I wish somebody would have recorded it,” Williams said. “I’m pretty sure I did backflips that I couldn’t do, and I landed on my face, but that’s beside the point. It’s just a bunch of excitement.”

Williams is the third Crimson Tide player to grace the cover of the video game, joining running backs Shaun Alexander and Mark Ingram.

When asked about what his rating should be, the sophomore came up with a humble but understandable number.

“I’ve been trying to be modest, but I heard everybody else saying crazy numbers,” Williams said. “I finished 90 overall last season, so I got to go up just because, you know, progression as a player. I still want room to grow too, so I’m going to go 95 overall.

Williams also did interviews with YouTubers, MMG and Bengal.

“Growing up, the last one that everybody played was NCAA 14,” Williams told MMG. “And it’s crazy because before they dropped EA College Football 25, I had just bought my friend’s old Xbox 360, just so I could play it. I still got it.”

In Bengal’s video, Williams was asked if he likes using Alabama in the video game.

“I love beating people with myself because it’s me,” he said. “And sometimes I get on the mic and people don’t believe that it’s me. So, I like to just play around with that too.”

EA College Football 26 comes out on July 10.
