SEC powerhouses still trying to steal this five-star QB from USC

Julian Lewis committed to the USC Trojans in August 2023, and for now, he's still a part of Lincoln Riley's 2025 class.

With that said, reports from the recruiting trail and Lewis' visit history suggest that the five-star quarterback's commitment to USC is far from a done deal.

This fall, the talented quarterback from Carrollton, Georgia took two unofficial visits to see the Georgia Bulldogs and he's expected to take another visit with the Bulldogs in the coming weeks.

This past weekend, Lewis unofficially visited with the Auburn Tigers, and with Kalen DeBoer now head coach at Alabama after Nick Saban's retirement, the five-star quarterback has received a re-offer from the Crimson Tide.

One has to imagine USC will have a chance to hold strong onto Lewis' commitment as long as Lincoln Riley is at the helm for the Trojans.

However, On3 recruiting expert Chad Simmons recently speculated that Georgia could be a major player.

“I think Georgia is probably the biggest threat to USC with Julian Lewis right now,” Simmons had said. “They haven’t really identified a 2025 quarterback they wanted up to this point, and he has become that by reclassifying. Auburn, with their offense under Hugh Freeze, is another to keep an eye on.” Georgia, Alabama and Auburn are all after Lewis, and for good reason.

As a sophomore, he threw for 3,094 yards and 48 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He reclassified from 2026 to 2025 earlier this month and is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback prospect in his class behind LSU commit Bryce Underwood.
