As if any more salt needed to be added to the wound, the SEC's official X account shared a graphic boasting featuring three winning final scores against Clemson with the caption "swept 'em. #ItJustMeansMore."
The No. 12 Tigers suffered losses this season at the hands of Georgia, South Carolina and, most recently, Texas. On Saturday, the No. 5 Longhorns won 38-24 in the first round of the College Football Playoff. Texas jumped out to a 28-10 lead in the first half and didn't look back.
The Longhorns were anchored by two 100-yard performances by running backs Jaydon Blue and Quintrevion Wisner—the duo combined for 256 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries.

Clemson dropped to 10-4, with the other loss coming against Louisville, a fellow ACC team.
Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers completed 17-of-24 passes for 202 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Clemson QB Cade Klubnik passed for 336 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. But the Tigers only managed 76 yards rushing, a 3.2 yards per carry average and struggled to convert third downs (3-for-12).
Texas advances to the CFP quarterfinals and will play the No. 4 Arizona State Sun Devils in the Peach Bowl on January 1.
