The Colorado Buffaloes faithful may still be adjusting to life without Shedeur Sanders at quarterback, but their former star is making headlines again. This time off the field, behind the wheel of a half-million-dollar Rolls-Royce.
Fresh off signing his rookie contract with the Cleveland Browns, a four-year, $4.6 million deal, Sanders made waves when he unveiled a custom olive green Rolls-Royce worth over $500,000, delivered to the Prime compound in Texas. That’s more than his $486,000 signing bonus from the Browns.
Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, has never been shy about embracing luxury. But this latest purchase shows that NIL riches still power his lifestyle, even after a surprising fall to the 5th round of the 2025 NFL Draft. In the recently posted Well Off Video, Shedeur is heard saying, “Let me see if that’s one I’m going to respect?” Sanders, showing that his car collection continues to grow day by day, yet he has his personal favorites.
While many rookies ease into the league, Shedeur will roll into Browns OTAs, or mandatory minicamp in signature fashion, literally and figuratively. Depending on when his new whip gets delivered. This isn’t his first Rolls, either. He previously made headlines driving a similarly priced Cullinan around Colorado’s campus, reflecting the massive $5.1 million NIL valuation he led all college athletes with last year, per On3.
And this car? Wrapped. Sleek. Customized. Flashy, but calculated. Just like Shedeur’s game.
“The luxury stuff, it’s cool,” Sanders said during a past appearance on Robert Griffin III’s Outta Pocket podcast. “But you got to get down to the core of what makes you happy.”
His rookie deal might pale in comparison to what he left on the table. Top-five picks in the 2025 draft signed deals up to $38 million, but Shedeur’s empire isn’t built solely on football. Endorsements with Nike, Gatorade, Google, and EA Sports already pad his estimated $4 million net worth.
With Cleveland’s quarterback room in flux, with Deshaun Watson sidelined with an Achilles injury. Sanders could find himself in a real battle for the QB1 job against veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.
For now, though, Shedeur Sanders is driving in his own lane. And Buffaloes fans will be watching, just as much for his performance under center as for what he pulls up in next.
