The biggest storyline of the NFL draft centered around Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was once projected as a first-round pick but ended up sliding all the way to the fifth round.
Despite the unexpected fall, the Cleveland Browns selected Sanders with the No. 144 overall pick—their second quarterback taken during the seven-round draft.
Now, as Sanders begins his next chapter and sets his sights on competing for the starting job in Cleveland, he took some time to celebrate his selection—and he did it in style.
According to multiple reports across social media, Sanders hosted a star-studded draft party at Hyde & Seek, a restaurant in Dallas. Notably, his father, Deion Sanders, did not attend.
Shedeur was reportedly the life of the party, performing his track “Perfect Timing” while surrounded by celebrities and NFL stars. The guest list included Kodak Black, Yung Miami, Loe Shimmy, Shenseea, and Dallas Cowboys standouts Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Sanders draft party had mixed reactions from fans:
"Not crazy at all lmao. Let the man celebrate," A fan suggested.
"This right here, on top of all the other issues is why he fell to the 5th round and really should have been the 7th," Someone else added.
"Nothing wrong with celebrating, but hope he keeps the main thing the main otherwise he’s gonna flame out quick," Another fan posted.
One more fan commented, "No way people are getting mad that a person who was drafted is celebrating getting drafted?????"
Being drafted is a dream come true for most athletes, so it’s only natural to celebrate that moment. However, given the drama surrounding Shedeur Sanders’ unexpected slide down the draft board and the long wait over three days, some backlash was inevitable.
Still, Sanders’ message after being selected by the Browns was crystal clear.
“I know I’m going to fit in perfectly,” Sanders said about joining the Browns. “It’s first getting in, showing the respect to the vets, showing I’m ready to work, show the coaches and have them understand I’m here ready to work, so they can actually understand the real me. That’s what I’m truly thankful to have, is the opportunity for people to see the real me and not see stuff that could be true, or not. That’s what I’m most excited about being in the building.”
