Deion Sanders has shown the unique ability to reinvent himself at every turn during his storied career.
From a multi-sport star, to beloved media personality and now a highly respected college coach, Sanders has had success in every facet of life.
He coached his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, from youth football through college, but all three have had tough adjustments after Sanders’ boys moved on from the Colorado Buffaloes.
This past week has been particularly rough for the family, with the younger Sanders brother losing the Cleveland Browns’ backup quarterback job, the older brother being waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their father losing his season opener at home.
The Sanders men are extremely prideful, which some people confuse with cockiness, so much of the nation has been enjoying the turmoil in the family.
They clearly are not happy with where their public perception is at the moment after the Browns quarterback put a close family associate’s Instagram post on his story.
The post showed a picture of the Sanders men’s group chat, where the Cleveland quarterback told his brother and father, “As SANDERS MEN we have to regroup.”
This comes after fans reveled in the Buffaloes’ defeat on Friday in their first game without the Browns quarterback under center.
For Sanders’ sons, there’s not much they can do but wait for the right opportunity to shine.
As for their father, he’s sure to rip into his team over the next week and prepare them to play with a chip on their shoulder like he always does.
The family cannot wallow in pity or expect anyone else to feel bad for them.
Their haters aren’t going anywhere, so they might as well embrace the villain role and use the public’s negativity as their fuel.
