Shedeur Sanders victim of cruel prank call during NFL Draft

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders was on the wrong end of a bad prank during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Sanders has been patiently waiting for his name to be called on Day 2 of the draft. What many have called one of the worst slides in NFL history, but suddenly got a call from an unknown number.

Sanders and the caller exchange pleasantries with excitement in the air. "How are you, man?" the caller asked. "Good, been waiting on you," Sanders said while on speaker phone.

The rest of the conversation was hard to understand, but it was clear Sanders was getting punked. After the caller hung up, Sanders and his family regathered and wondered how they got 'Grown's number.

One unbelievably cruel prank to play on an NFL prospect, who has suffered like Sanders has during his draft. With his phone in hand but nobody calling. Nothing you would wish on your worst enemy.

Hopefully, Sanders can put this all behind him and carry this momentum as an NFL rookie.

The Colorado star was streaming on Twitch from his draft watch party at the Prime compound in Canton, Texas.
