The bad news for the Colorado Buffaloes continues in Week 2 of the college football season. In the first half of being blown out 28-0 against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, safety Shilo Sanders suffered a potentially major injury.

According to Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, his son Shilo Sanders is believed to have a broken forearm. He was immediately rule out for the rest of Week 2.

If this is true, Shilo Sanders' collegiate career might be over. The redshirt senior has no eligibility left, so 2024 is it. The 6-foot, 195-pound safety totaled 67 tackles and four forced fumbles with one interception in 2023. He had struggled thus far in 2024, racking up a few penalties and being out of position through six quarters.
Sanders was considered a late-round potential 2025 NFL Draft prospect, at best.
