It's been a rough run for Stanford.
It tried to change things around with Troy Taylor as head coach, the rebuilding process stalled, there were a few issues, and now Frank Reich is in as the new man to run the show - sort of.
He's still technically an interim head man, and he needs to start his run off with a win with a nasty schedule ahead.
Hawaii should start to do even more offensively. The defense has the experience to be stronger, and with a manageable schedule after going to Arizona, getting a win here would do wonders.
Stanford vs Hawaii: How To Watch

Location: Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, Honolulu, HI
For all of the turmoil and concerns, Stanford should be okay.
No, it's not about to win the ACC title or anything, but the offensive line is okay, the running backs are good, and there's hope with the pieces in place for the passing game to be dangerous.
If Hawaii is anything like last year's version, mistakes and penalties will be costly in key moments. As long as the Cardinal don't start screwing up, they should be okay, but ...
Just how much better is the Stanford secondary?
Last year's defense was among the worst in the country against the pass, and the corners don't appear to be too much better right away.
Hawaii's D won't be a killer, but the starting 11 has the talent to hold up. The linebacking corps is among the best in the Mountain West, the secondary has a few stars in corner Virdel Edwards and safety Peter Manuma, and ...
The Hawaii offense has to be fantastic.
Stanford will get physical on the offensive front and try banging away. It'll work.
The Rainbow Warrior passing game will go off, but the Cardinal attack will keep the chains moving in the second half. It'll be a fun game with plenty of mood swings, but Hawai'i hasn't beaten an at-the-time Power Four/Five team since 2019.
It'll be better, but the Cardinal will sneak by.
Stanford 26, Hawaii 24
