Student photographer seriously injured in sideline collision at Georgia-Auburn game
Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

A student photographer was injured in a collision on the sideline of the Auburn-Georgia game in Auburn, Alabama, on Saturday and taken off the field on a stretcher.

Late in the second quarter, the student photographer who was shooting near the 5-yard line was run over by a player after a pass near the sideline.

CBS’ sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl initially reported that she hadn’t seen the photographer move after the collision. A subsequent report stated the woman had opened her eyes and was responding.

Erdahl reported that the student photographer had a visible bruise on her right eye. The woman received cheers as she was carted off the field on the stretcher and into a tunnel.
