Once an Ohio State Buckeye, always a Buckeye, and the latest development with a former four-star recruit is proving that. Former Buckeye offensive tackle George Fitzpatrick transferred to Kansas State this offseason and has been a ballyhooed acquisition for the Wildcats. Despite not fitting into Ohio State's plans as a future starter, there's a lot of optimism around his presence in Manhattan.

However, there was a flood of messages sent on X that suddenly emerged. Well wishes began from one of Moore's close confidants.

Ohio State backup tackle Ian Moore was the first person to share that something is going on with Fitzpatrick, sharing this on Sunday night:

"I know it’s a bit late and people might not receive this, but I just wanted yall to keep our former buckeye George Fitzpatrick in your prayers. I’m not going to go deep into it for respects of his family, but please pray for a speedy recovery and no complications. God Bless."

Fitzpatrick played guard at Ohio State and served as a backup before the team brought in several transfers following their 2024-25 National Championship win. While he announced his intentions to transfer in January before the title was clinched, he stayed with the program until after the season was over.

Days later, Fitzpatrick became a Wildcat. And just days ago, there was notable buzz around him from Kansas State analysts.

"It's great to hear that George Fitzpatrick is the real deal," said John Kurtz of the KC Sports News Network.

We don't know the details of what has happened to Fitzpatrick, but we'll continue to monitor the situation and wait for an official statement from the Wildcats.
