The Tennessee Volunteers received a boost with the latest college football news. Head coach Josh Heupel is hard at work on the 2026 recruiting class.
The Vols just landed a new commitment from a touted 6-foot-5 pass rusher. Tennessee now has eight players committed for the 2026 class.
Quarterback Faizon Brandon headlines the Vols recruiting class heading into 2026. Brandon is a 5-star quarterback and the No. 1 rated player in the country, per 247Sports.
Tennessee is still surging up the recruiting rankings. Rivals.com now has the Vols as the No. 4 ranked recruiting class for 2026. Metuchen Saint Joseph (N.J.) product CJ Edwards has committed to Tennessee.
The 3-star pass rusher is Rivals' No. 7 ranked player in New Jersey. Edwards is ready to shutdown his recruitment with other college football programs like the Michigan Wolverines, North Carolina Tar Heels and West Virginia Mountaineers in pursuit.

“[Their] level of commitment when it came to recruiting as well as the staff and the winning culture they have built,” Edwards told On3.com's Steve Wiltfong on Tuesday. “Their coach Heupel has built something impressive that I can see myself being a part of and contributing [to] and I’m excited to be a Vol.”
