TCU has landed a key commitment for its 2026 recruiting class by securing three-star offensive tackle Rhett Gray from Weatherford High School in Texas.

Gray, who measures 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, chose the Horned Frogs over Houston and Northwestern after an official visit to TCU’s campus last weekend.

Gray, rated a three-star prospect by major recruiting services, narrowed his final three schools to Houston, Northwestern, and TCU. During his official visit to Fort Worth, he stated that it was a pivotal moment in his decision, likely referring to the strong connection he formed with the coaching staff and the campus environment . He remains one of the top offensive tackles in his 2026 class from Texas, with a reminder of his upside coming in his frame and mobility.

The commitment adds important depth to TCU’s offensive line recruiting efforts. Gray’s size and athleticism align with the type of linemen TCU is targeting under its current front-line staff. His ability to project at either tackle or guard gives TCU more room to tailor its roster moving forward. With Gray on board, TCU now bolsters its group of linemen capable of developing into future starters in the Big 12.

This is yet another example of TCU’s momentum on the recruiting trail. The program has recently landed other key commitments, including several offensive linemen and skill-position targets, which have them slotted as the nation’s 36th-best group.

Gray’s addition not only strengthens the offensive line but also signals to other recruits that TCU is a destination of choice in the high-level Power Four space. For the Horned Frogs, locking in Gray provides a critical building block as they look to continue their upward trajectory on the field.
