Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel got to see one of his top 2026 commits make a big-time play in person on Thursday evening.

2026 four-star athlete Joel Wyatt caught a 42-yard touchdown pass for Oakland with Heupel looking on from the sideline.

Joel Wyatt is one of Tennessee's top 2026 commits

Wyatt, 6-foot-4/195 lbs from Murfreesboro, TN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 5 athlete in the nation and the N0. 3 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 47 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The talented athlete has been committed to Tennessee since late July.

Wyatt can play multiple positions -- including wide receiver and edge rusher -- but for now, he's expected to start his college career as a safety.
