The Tennessee Vols reportedly lost a player to the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday.

"Would also like to thank the fans and people of Knoxville for being one of the best fan bases in the football," wrote Lang in a social media post confirming his decision. "Rocky Top will always have a special place in my heart for everything it has done for me."

Lang is a player who had been considered as a potential option to take over as Tennessee's starting center next fall with Cooper Mays running out of eligibility after the 2024 season.
Before the start of the 2024 season, Lang was praised by Vols offensive line coach Glen Elarbee for the improvements he had made.
"We got great competition," said Vols offensive line coach Glen Elarbee when asked about the depth at the center position back in August. "Vysen (Lang), Sat (William Satterwhite), probably are taking the most of those reps and competing. Sat has come along at a high rate. Vysen has improved in ton of areas."
Center was already going to be a big position of concern for the Vols in 2025. With Lang moving on, it's now an even bigger position of concern.
