Terrell Owens Sends Clear Message to Deion Sanders After Shedeur Sanders’ Browns Practice

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders' training camp success hasn’t come easily.

Sanders, 23, was initially predicted to be selected in the first round of April’s NFL draft, but he didn’t hear his name called until Day 3 with the 144th pick (Round 5). Critics of his game said his dramatic fall occurred because “he doesn’t possess the elite arm talent or athleticism that comes with being a first-round selection,” according to Yahoo Sports NFL draft analyst Nate Tice.

However, the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback didn’t let this faze him and instead impressed many during the first two weeks of Cleveland’s training camp. During Wednesday’s practice, he completed 9 of 14 of his passes and threw for three touchdowns to one interception, per NFL writer Dov Kleiman.

Shedeur Sanders’ impressive performances have led some to believe he should be given the starting job over veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, and his father, Deion Sanders, couldn’t be more proud.

“Yes sir @Shedeur Sanders #CoachPrime,” the Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback wrote in the caption of an Instagram post from Wednesday.

Furthermore, his son has even received good remarks from a fellow Dallas Cowboys all-time great.

“Well, if he wasn’t prepared, it looks like he’s prepared now!!! ,” Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens shared in the comment section of Deion Sanders' post.

If Shedeur Sanders is pleasing two NFL legends, he could be able to start under center for the Browns next season as the quarterback battle against Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett continues.
