Texas A&M lands intriguing WR via transfer portal

Mario Craver, who was a freshman at Mississippi State this past season, entered the transfer portal on Dec. 9, the day it opened. He narrowed his list of options down to Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama and Florida State, but he ultimately decided on riding with Mike Elko and the Aggies.

His commitment to Texas A&M made the rounds on social media on Tuesday.

Texas A&M is getting quite an intriguing wideout in Craver. He played in eight games as a freshman for Mississippi State, notching 17 catches for 368 yards and three touchdowns.

Those aren't elite numbers by any stretch, but for a freshman with three seasons of eligibility remaining — you'll take it if you're the Aggies. He did miss two games due to injury and another due to a suspension. Notably, he was arrested in the spring of 2024 and charged with possession of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Craver was a four-star receiver in the 2024 class and originally committed to Mississippi State over Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and Michigan, among others.
