Texas A&M wide out Jalen Preston announced on his Instagram that he signed a NIL deal with Gage Gandy Bail Bonds.
“You’re in luck!
Excited to announce my partnership with @gage_gandy_bail_bonds
Ready to help Aggies get their feet back on the street! #AgsHelpingAgs #gigem #happystpaddysday2016,” Preston wrote on his Instagram.
Preston, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound sixth-year senior, played in 48 games total for the Aggies. He has 35 receptions for 468 yards with four touchdowns over that span. A four-star recruit from Manvel High School in Texas, Preston was the No. 29 wide receiver in his recruiting class.
Texas A&M’s coaching staff is hoping Preston will break out in the upcoming 2023 campaign.
Texas A&M, as a whole, has been making moves recently in the NIL space, according to athletic director Ross Bjork.
Bjork recently stated that student-athletes have signed or are negotiating NIL deals with a value of “approximately $10 million.” Bjork believes that number makes Texas A&M one of the top schools in the nation for NIL.
Last season, Texas A&M finished with a 5-7 overall record and 2-6 against SEC opponents.
With that said, the Aggies concluded their season with a 38-23 victory over LSU.
